Nam the Man was the main Choreographer
who in conjunction with the ten Finalists put on a show that lasted just
over
40 minutes – all set to vibrant music that had the crowd wanting more!
Indeed, it was Nam the Man who started
the whole Football Freestyle explosion in Vietnam not only as a
world-wide role
model for the sport – but with the establishment of his own Vietnamese
website
and forum over two years ago.
Both Events were an incredible
achievement and Nam the Man was more than excited to be invited back to
both
support and help the sport grow even further.
“It’s amazing that by planting this
little seed with our Vietnamese language Forum and Website – how quickly
things
then spread and grew! I always knew I had a certain Vietnamese following
and
fan base, but Football Freestyle in itself has become very strong here
with
Football Freestyle Clubs starting up all over Vietnam with Hanoi being
the main
centre for the sport.
Countless media interviews and special
reports in all media outlets helped not only to lift the profile of Nam
the Man
himself but of the sport of Football Freestyle to new levels.
Nam also appeared on a 45 minute chat
show called TALK VIETNAM (he was the only interviewee!!) and did three
performances together with some of the CLEARmen Finalists. The show will
be
broadcast all over the world on Vietnam Satellite TV – as well as prime
time in
Vietnam on VTV1 and VTV4 – and is a testament to his celebrity status in
Vietnam and a great promotion for Football Freestyle!
“ This TALK VIETNAM show will promote
the sport to the large Vietnamese communities based all over the world
and help
increase my profile further that we all hope will open up a whole host
of
opportunities!” Nam added.
Nam also wanted to say a special thank
you to his cousin Tieu Ngoc Nguyen who has been a crucial link and an
incredible support for Nam in helping in all his work in Vietnam,
“Without the
help of Ngoc, none of this would have been possible” he concluded.
Ngoc himself added, “Our aim is to make
Vietnamese Football Freestyle the best in the whole of Asia and with
Nam’s
backing and support, this will definitely be achieved! We want to build,
grow
and create a network here in Asia. The next step is to establish an
Asian wide
competition that we hope will be even bigger and better than this
CLEARmen
competition!”
